However, you have to know that the cost of living is relatively high. But still, it is a city that is completely worth it. This city is famous for hosting the European Parliament and other institutions of the European Union, but it is much more than all that.

Brussels has plenty of monuments worth visiting, and streets and neighborhoods to wander around and get lost in. Ghent

This is the third largest city in Belgium. It has about 250,000 inhabitants, and it is said that about 60,000 of them are students. Therefore, you can imagine that Ghent is one of the most popular cities in the country for Erasmus, receiving hundreds of students every year.

In this city there are several universities, among them Ghent University (Ghent University) and Ghent University of Applied Sciences and Arts, better known as HoGent, both being the most important universities in the city.

Leuven

Leuven (Leuven) is a university city located just 50 kilometers from the capital of the country. In fourth place we have Liège, a city that is close to the borders with Germany and the Netherlands, and where the University of Liège (Universitè de Liège) is located. The proximity of this destination to other countries will allow you to travel and discover other cities almost every weekend for little time and money. For example, in half an hour by train you can be in Maastricht (Netherlands), in twenty minutes in Aachen (Germany) or in just over two hours in major German cities such as Cologne or Düsseldorf.
